Who is responsible for your data
The data controllers are the natural persons running the VantoLabs project: Paweł Pelar and Tomasz Korzeniewski (joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR). Contact: the form on the home page.
Contact form
When you write to us via the form, you share your e-mail address and the message content. We use them solely to reply. Messages land in our private issue tracker (GitHub, servers in the USA) and are deleted no later than 12 months after the thread is closed. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — replying to your message.
Mailing list at download
After downloading the beta you can leave us your e-mail address. It is entirely optional, and the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form. We use the address for two things only: to tell you about the 1.0 release together with a discount code for beta testers, and about important updates to the beta itself. We do not profile you, we do not track opens or clicks in our messages, and we do not link the address to data from the app or to site statistics; we never sell mailing lists and share them with no one except our database provider (Upstash). We store only the address itself, the date you signed up and the site language — no IP address. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us through the contact form, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before it. We delete the address no later than 30 days after withdrawal, and if the 1.0 release does not happen — no later than 24 months after sign-up.
Site statistics
We use Vercel Analytics — a tool that uses no cookies and builds no user profiles. We see anonymized, aggregated visit statistics (e.g. page view counts) with no way to link them to a specific person.
The VantoLabs Voice Assistant app
How the app itself processes data (recordings, transcripts, telemetry) is described in the documentation shipped with the app and shown on first launch. In short: transcription and note organizing run locally on your computer, and recordings and notes stay on your disk.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to us via the form.
